About [h]all media – an Autobiographical glimpse of Charles Hall
I have worked in the general field of media arts now for 18 years in nearly every capacity and environment – from small to large agencies, to retail, and even your local newspaper.

I hail from the first generation to be raised predominantly around computers. I cut my creative teeth in elementary school on the amazing Apple II by learning the BASIC programming required to plot large rectangular pixels on the green screen. I've been a fanatical Mac advocate ever since. I taught myself countless versions of every major production application and have been the help desk to many other designers through most of my professional career. I owned the very first consumer digital camera which cost a small fortune even by today's standards, and has since been put to shame by many cheap web cams and even a LEGO toy camera. Essentially I have come to find myself on the binary side of the digital divide.

Additionally in my diverse background, I have owned or managed businesses, installed and administered computer networks, been published in many magazines, photographed and travelled with rock stars, designed and built furniture by hand, remodelled a house, repaired every type of major and small appliance, provided pro-bono services to charitable organizations, and am presently raising and home-schooling my 2 amazing children.
